UNR NEWS VISIT
26 September 2009 XXXII
Khamsin Molossia News

For the first time in over a year, the Republic of Molossia was visited today by local media. Two reporters from the newspaper of the University of Nevada, Reno, The Nevada Sagebrush, came to our fair nation to do a story about us. Emily Katseanes and Nick Coltrain arrived at about 3:40 PM MST, from nearby Reno, about 50 Imperial Nortons northwest of our country. Emily and Nick are journalism majors at UNR, looking for an unusual local story - and Molossia is it.

Escorted by our President, Nick and Emily's visit included all of the usual Molossian sights, the Customs Shack, Republic Square, the Peace Pole, the Post Office, Norton Park and the Molossia Railroad, the Tower of the Winds and the Trans-Molossia Trail. During the tour, Nick took most of the photos for the story, while Emily did the interviewing. The visit was proceeding smoothly until the heat of the day overwhelmed Emily, and the tour had to be cut short for an emergency water break in the shade of the summer house. Once Emily recovered, the visit wrapped up with a stop at the Space Monument, followed by a question and answer session under the tricolor umbrella behind Government House. There, passports were stamped, buttons and poker chips were handed out and Emily and Nick went on their way. We look forward to this latest local article about Molossia, and to future opportunities to tell the world about our great country.

Emily and Nick.
