  • WPROST ARTICLE, Published in the Polish Magazine "Wprost", 25 February 2001 XXIV, Page 1, Page 2 (in Polish)

The Republic of Molossia was featured in the Polish magazine Wprost. The article discussed micronationalism in general, focusing on certain micronations, such as Hutt River, Talossa, Sealand and Molossia. This was the first time Molossia was been mentioned in the press. Text of the part of the article pertaining to Molossia, a rough translation from the Polish follows:

"When you enter to page www.molossia.org you will see flag and herb and you can find data base for culture, turists, internal and foreign affairs for Republic of Mollossia. Page is made in English and Esperanto. Page looks as page of real countries in the world. And it is right because Molossia is not only virtual country - it consists also from quite big farm in american Nevada. Citizens of Molossia decided that viirtual life is also important and sometimes even more important then life in a desert. By such solution the father of the nation can in not conventional way teach his children what is constitution, functions of democratic country in which citizens have not only rules but also duties."

Our thanks to Marek Grochowski of Poland for bringing this article to our attention and for taking the time to scan the pages and translate the text above.
