QINGMING
8 April 2012 XXXV
Khamsin Molossia News

On 7 April 2012 XXXV the Republic of Molossia celebrated Qingming, our spring holiday. Qingming is adopted from the Chinese festival of the same name which takes place around early April each year. The Chinese holiday is one for enjoying the greenery of springtime and tending to the graves of departed ones. The same applies to the celebration here in Molossia, and this year the holiday began with a trip out to the Molossia Cemetery, on our eastern frontier. The cemetery was tidied up by our First Family and trash and weeds were removed. In addition a new decorative border chain installed, replacing the old ropes that bounded it. After the cemetery was refreshed, the First Family traveled outside Molossia to nearby Mark Twain park, and picked up trash there - a community service for our neighboring Americans. Once the Park was cleaned, the First Family traveled to another park in the town of Dayton and there enjoyed Subway sandwiches, cold food being another Qingming tradition. This completed our nation's Qingming celebrations and a fine time was had by all.
